Braille+ user reviews

[Editor's note: also owns a Victor Reader Stream] Pluses include, simple to download and unzip, organization of downloaded books by author or date of download, WiFi, no extra SD cards or thumb drives necessary, word processor, Braille keyboard, calendar, address book, E-mail, Internet, Tuner, Calculator, date and time feature.
Minuses include, shorter battery life per charge, slightly larger but still comfortable on belt clip, has to be reset more often.
If I had only one digital player, I would choose the Braille Plus

I use the Braille Plus note taker from APH to play my books from BARD. The Braille Plus has built in wi-fi, so I can connect my home network, start the web browser, download my book, and have it automatically unpacked and dropped into my bookshelf. This is the main reason I prefer the Braille Plus, I don't have to worry about transfer software, etc. The Braille Plus also has a 60 GB hard drive, so you can store many many books.
The Braille Plus's drawback is that if you choose to transfer books from your computer to the Braille Plus using USB, it will take a little while as the Braille Plus has USB 1.1. However, you can work around this by transferring files wirelessly between devices using your own wi-fi network.
